The markets will be held in and around Limericks historic Georgian Quarter of Pery Square. The first market ran in Christmas 2008 and was a big success, despite the weather. Traders reported good sales and visitors enjoyed the experience and loved the atmosphere of the market. For this reason we have decided along with the support of many arts, craft and food artsian promoters to run three markets in 2012/2013. Check out each market page for dates, times, how to apply etc.
Along with Patricia from No. 1 Pery Square and the support of many local traders for the last few months we have been working on the set up of this great event. Laura Ryan from Limerick Co-Ordination Office is helping us with PR. Both these organisations have been with us from the start and are anxious to make this a successful event for the city and hopefully an and annual event!
Mayor of Limerick has endorsed our market and Limerick City Council have been very helpful and supportive of this event also.
While in Pery Square visit The Georgian House & Garden, Limerick City Art Gallery, Leamy House Art Gallery and Angela’s Ashes Museum created by Una Haeton and of course take a walk in the park....The republics only blue flag award winning park.
